Yosemite Scarf and not-matching hat

|

This is one of the very few times that I bought a yarn with no pattern in mind. I loved the Yosemite yarn and made this simple garter stitch scarf on size 19 needles. I hoped that one skein would be enough but had to go back to the LYS for another. I have 50 grams left in the second skein, which may be enough for a hat.

It was my first project on giant needles as well as my first with a thick-and-thin yarn. I found it very fun and finished the scarf in something like three days. A few inches of fringe completed the project. It was made as a Christmas gift for my friend Nikki, though I think she liked the Giants hat I made for her husband better!
